Dr Melinda Keresztes-Nagy psychiatry specialist
I qualified in medicine from the University of Pécs, Faculty of General Medicine in Hungary in 2002. In the same year I started my medical career in the National Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Budapest and continued to work there until its closure in 2007. Following that I worked in the PM Flór Ferenc Hospital, Dept. of Psychiatry in Kistarcsa until 2008.
I started my psychiatry training in 2002 in the Dept. Of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Faculty of General Medicine, Semmelweis University in Budapest and I became a specialist in general adult psychiatry in 2008. Between 2008-2014 I worked in the Priory Hospital Glasgow, a psychiatric private hospital in Glasgow, in the United Kingdom.
I started my psychotherapy training in 2005 in the Dept. Of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Faculty of General Medicine, Semmelweis University in Budapest. Between 2005-2013 I completed 350 hours of psychoanalytically oriented self-knowledge therapy as part of my training.
In 2014 I had my first, in 2016 my second child born. In the following years my priority was to care for my children and focus on motherhood.
I started my psychiatry private practice in 2019 at Pszichofészek in Budapest.
In my practice I see patients with a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance and a wide range of emotional difficulties like self confidence issues, crisis situations, relationship issues.
Within short time I can provide an appointment for psychiatric consultation. If further treatment is necessary the options are either farmacotherapy and/ or supportive therapy or psychotherapeutic consultation, with cognitive and/ or person-centered therapy elements, depending on the needs and condition of clients. With many years of psychiatric work experience in english I welcome clients for english language consultation.

Couple, - family consultation: 50000 Ft/ 90 minutes
Brief control psychiatric consultation and prescription: 22000 Ft/ 20 minutes
Psychiatric prescription: 12000 Ft

Online or personal pychiatric consultation including prescription writing within 24 hours if possible: 40000 Ft/ 50 minutes
In case of cancellation within 24 hours prior to the booked appointment the full fee is to be paid.
